Challenges in Refresh let you encourage and reward employee participation in activities you choose. Create and schedule Challenges, choose participants, and set dates.
Reward employees with points for completing goals, keeping motivation high.
Examples of Challenge activities include:
- Reading an article
- Reaching a fitness goal
- Watching a training video
- Sending a Rave (recognition) to a co-worker
- Attending an event, workshop, or class
Every Challenge lets you select the following:
- Goal: What participants need to do to complete the Challenge.
- Timeframe: Whether a fixed period, ongoing, or looking back.
- Availability: Who it is visible to, such as specific Groups or Teams. (See Segmentation & visibility.)
- Award points: Give points upon completion.
Challenges in Refresh can be completed through:
App Views: Set up a Challenge that requires employees to engage with specific content the app, like Focus Content, Media, News, Notices, or events.
Self-Reporting: Create a Challenge that employees report on and verify they have completed by completing a form. Optionally, request additional proof, such as a photo or signature. The Challenge can be whatever you choose, such as swimming laps, doing yoga, or reading a book.
Step Tracking: Set activity goals, such as daily step counts, tracked via a device sensor.
The Playbook provides ready-to-go templates, including:
- 5,000 steps a day: Create a step count goal of 5,000 steps or more.
- Read all about It: Post to the newsfeed and get employees to read it.
- Get to class: Use this to encourage attendance at a class or event.
- Office friend: Encourage employees to recognize a co-worker.
Users can access the Challenges section from the homescreen to view details, such as placements, and scores.
Below, select Mobile or Desktop, to see how a Challenge appears when the Leaders tab is selected.
Clicking on each tab displays the following:
- Personal: This shows their personal placement and score.
- Leaders: This lists the top 10 leaders with their placements and scores (not visible in Solo Challenges).
- Time period: This displays leaders by day, week, month, or year for recurring Challenges, or the start and end dates for custom periods.
