Add & invite multiple users
Who can do this:
- Anyone with the Users (editable) permission
Onboard employees by adding them as users in the dashboard and inviting them to register and download the app.
- You're not using single sign-on to onboard employees.
- You don't have a reliable communication tool and want to use Refresh for consistency.
- You have a mailing list that at least includes email addresses.
Below is an example of an invitation they receive.
Employees receive a unique private link, which can only be used once. After they follow the prompt to create a password, they are registered.
When should I set up Groups?
Set up Groups, including Teams, first, before onboarding users, so you can assign them to Groups afterwards. See Manage Groups & User tags.
To add multiple users:
1. Go to Admin ➤ Users and at the top of the list, click Add/Invite.
2. In the Add/Invite users window, select Multiple users.
3. Select Download the template here and prepare your user list.
How do I avoid errors?
To avoid errors, ensure you use the same column headings as the template. If you're using multiple Tags, list them in a single column, separated by pipe characters ( | ).
4. Click Select to upload the CSV file from your computer.
5. If you want, select tick the following:
- Don't send invites at this time: Keep this unselected when sending initial invites, otherwise users will be added to the dashboard, but not invited.
- Bring users to app content: This lets you choose the content you want users to view and prompts users to download the app.
6. Choose how you want users to receive invites, whether Email or Text.
How do I send invites via text?
Please connect with the Refresh customer success team if you'd like to send texts. Then, remember to include users' mobile phone numbers in your uploaded list.
7. Click Continue.
Users immediately appear in the dashboard and their registration status is pending, until they register.
