Assign Admins & Roles

7min

Who can do this:

  • Anyone with the Users (editable) permission

Giving a user administrative privileges grants them access the dashboard and lets you assign them specific roles.

Assigning roles helps organize access and responsibilities in the dashboard, ensuring each user has the necessary permissions to carry out their tasks effectively.

How do roles function within an admin's level?

Roles assigned to an admin are applicable only within their admin level. If you want user's admin privileges to apply across all groups or teams, they must be assigned admins at the top level. See Admin access overview.

Open the user's profile

Edit a user's admin assignment in their profile.

To open a user's profile:

1. Go to Admin Users and select the user's name from the list.

  • The Edit user window opens.

Assign an admin & role

Make a user an admin and assign them a role.

Do I need a mobile phone number?

Yes! You'll need to add the admin's mobile phone number to their profile, since two-factor authentication is mandatory for logging into the dashboard. This extra layer of security helps protect your account.

To assign an admin & role:

1. Open the user's profile, and add their mobile phone number, if it's missing.

2. In the Assignment section, select a Group or Team, if applicable.

3. Next to the selected Group or Team, click Make admin.
